Electronics and Communication Engineering :

In a fast changing technology spectrum, electronics enjoys a pride of place because of the sheer range and penetration of devices and circuits in every area of industrial activity. Since the pioneering days of radio communication, the field of electronics has demonstrated its inescapable presence in quality control and automation in areas like communication or instrumentation systems for military, space, nuclear engineering, biomedical and information processes applications and manufacturing. This dynamic branch of engineering offers great opportunities in leveraging the enormous potential of chip designing, signal processing, advances in mobile and cellular communication, satellite engineering, Digital communication, Nanotechnology, VLSI/Embedded systems for meaningful careers in space, entertainment, animation, Biomedical, mobile communication networks and industrial automation.

Computer Science and Engineering :

Computers have a ubiquitous presence in every sphere of human activity. Revolutionary advancements in computer-science-engineering and microelectronics have brought about unimaginable changes in industry, governance, education, medicine, scientific research, social-sciences, communication and entertainment. Ever-expanding applications of software in areas like Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, mobile telephones, animation, general governance and administration, services have generated vast employment opportunities promising to bring great prosperity to people across the world. India’s proven expertise in the global software firmament, and surge in off shoring and outsourcing opportunities hold out much promise to the future generations. The engineers with computer skills now indispensable in every field.

Mechanical Engineering :

Field of Mechanical Engineering is normally considered broadest of all Engineering disciplines. Mechanical Engineering is an engineering discipline that involves the application of principles of physics for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.

Mechanical engineers design and build engines and power plants, structures and vehicles of all sizes. It requires a solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and energy. Mechanical engineers use the core principles as well as other Knowledge in the field to design and analyze motor vehicles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, watercraft, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, robotics, medical devices and more.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering :

This is one of the core courses in engineering and trains the students in design, analysis and operation of conventional and modern engineering systems like electrical power networks, control systems and machines and machine drives.  Mathematical modeling of large physical systems is the special characteristic of EEE curriculum and this knowledge helps engineers to take up with ease any hardware or software projects for solution.  Thus EEE discipline, while imparting specialized training for handling electrical system, also makes the graduates acquire the state-of-the-art skills in this area.

The electrical power generation needs good number of qualified and competent engineers to solve the challenges posed by the unlocking of the regulated operation from time to time and make the provision to supply of quality electrical energy.  Being a link between electronics and communication engineering on one hand and computer science on the other, the EEE discipline becomes indispensable in technical institution to meet the growing requirement of competent electrical engineers in   power, infrastructure, technology sectors as well as the software industry in a developing country like ours.

Civil Engineering :

Civil Engineering is considered to be one of the oldest engineering disciplines.  This profession deals with a wide variety of engineering tasks including designing, supervision and  execution of structural works like roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, sewage systems, ports etc. and offers a multitude of challenging career opportunities.

Civil engineers will always be needed to maintain and repair existing facilities and structures and to construct new ones. The experts say there is a high demand for experienced civil engineers in developed countries.  Civil engineers are employed in all the major construction projects carried out by the state or central government, the railways, private construction companies, military, engineering services, consultancy services etc.

Training and Placement Cell :

The training and placement cell will be established in the college under the guidance of a senior professor

  1. For arranging lectures by the experts in career guidance, personality development, logical thinking and aptitude; communication skills and soft skills for the students.  This would enable the students to orient themselves suitably to withstand the ever-growing competition in their areas.  These would be done in addition to the regular lectures in their domain areas.
  2. For preparing a database of students going out of this institution from time to time. For inviting and arranging campus recruitment by reputed organizations and encourage the students to build their career.
  3. The training and placement cell will be in constant touch with organizers of off campus interviews, conducted by reputed organizations in other colleges and intimate the students of the college, accordingly.

Entrepreneurship Development Cel1 (EDC) :

The management proposes to set up Entrepreneurship Development Cell at the Institution with the objective to foster Entrepreneurial culture and spirit in students by facilitating interaction between Institution, Industries and R&D organizations and also to act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information to upcoming Science and Technology Entrepreneurs.  Through this cell, eminent people from industry, R & D organizations will be invited to deliver lectures on emerging areas to the students from time to time.

Computer Centre :

It is proposed to build a centralized computer centre with latest hardware specifications, server and LAN/ WAN facilities to produce competent engineers having higher technical proficiency, professional skills and appreciation of social responsibilities. It will be based in a Centralized Air Conditioned area.  This center will be constantly upgraded with the state-of-the-art systems.

Central library :
The proposed Institution will create a decent centralized library. The area of the proposed library will be 500 Sq.m. to facilitate a decent stacking and reading area,
E-class room and computer facilities for a digital library.  A well-furnished and air-conditioned reading hall will be provided with the required books of reference in different subjects.

Central Workshop :

There will be a workshop in a 900.Sq.m. area provided with infrastructure as required by curriculum and with qualitative improvement facilities for imparting the practical skills to the students.
